Gehoorverlies bij vierduizend baby’s snel ontdekt June 30, 2026
De neonatale gehoorscreening (NGS) door de jeugdgezondheidszorg bestaat twintig jaar. Deze gehoortest ontdekt ieder jaar binnen enkele weken na de geboorte, gehoorverlies bij zo’n tweehonderd baby’s. Dat betekent dat in twintig jaar tijd, zo’n vierduizend kinderen snel de juiste zorg en begeleiding konden krijgen, wat belangrijk is voor hun taal- en sociale ontwikkeling.
