Awards
FIGON and its partners have several prizes that are awarded annually.
The annual doctoral competition is an important part of the Dutch Medicine Days.
FIGON wants to give the best students from different regions a platform to present their research.
It is important that candidates from various pharmaceutical and medical research groups in Dutch research institutes compete for honors and prizes.
For this, all institutes in the Netherlands are invited annually to nominate a candidate who is conducting innovative research on medicines and can present this research. The institutes decide on their nomination and selection.
When multiple research schools are located in one region, one candidate per region applies. (Institutes should coordinate with each other about this).
The poster prize awarding is a prominent part of the Dutch Medicines Days with its own moderated tour highlighting exceptional visual presentations that combine scientific novelty and excellence during that year’s conference and exhibit.
The Poster Awards Ceremony is one of the highlights of the conference, placing emphasis on the most outstanding visual presentations of each topic.
The Ariëns Award lecture is organized by the Dutch Pharmacological Society in memory of Professor E.J. Ariëns, one of the founders of the field of pharmacology and professor at the University of Nijmegen and held at the During the Dutch Medicines Day.
